Billing

Billing is where you manage your Cracken plan, track usage against your plan's limits, see which features your plan includes, and buy credits. It lives at Settings → Billing and applies to your whole tenant, not a single realm.

Billing applies to Cracken Cloud. On self-hosted / on-premises deployments there is no Settings → Billing tab, no plans, and no credit purchase — resource usage is governed by your own infrastructure, not a Cracken subscription.

Prerequisites

  • Permission to manage billing for your tenant. Without it you can view billing information, but the plan and credit actions are unavailable — they're reserved for members who can manage billing.

Open billing

Go to Settings → Billing. The page has three tabs: Overview, Plans, and Credits.

Overview

The Overview tab summarizes your current plan and how much of it you're using.

  • Current plan — your plan, with trial end or cancellation dates when they apply, and the action to change or manage it.
  • Resource usage — current usage against your plan limits for Realms, Seats, Tentacles, Custom playbooks, Skills, and Cybergraph nodes, plus your credit usage. Each metered limit shows a progress bar; unlimited limits show usage without a bar.
  • Available features — the features enabled on your current plan, such as Automations, Cybergraph, Security Findings, Data Integrations, Tentacle Tools, MCP Tools, Custom Skills, and Report Exports.

When you reach a limit — for example the number of realms your plan allows — Cracken prompts you to upgrade.

Plans

The Plans tab is where you change plan.

  • Self-serve plans start instantly with a card and can be upgraded or cancelled at any time.
  • Sales-led plans cover organizations that need volume pricing, custom deployments, or enterprise compliance. These are arranged with the Cracken team — use Talk to sales to start that conversation.

If your tenant is on a plan managed by your organization, the Plans tab shows that instead of self-serve options; contact your admin or the Cracken team to change it.

To manage an existing subscription (payment method, invoices, cancellation), use the manage-billing action on the Overview tab, which opens your billing portal.

Credits

The Credits tab is where you top up your credit balance. Pick a credit package and complete checkout; your balance updates once the purchase completes. Your current credit usage is also shown on the Overview tab alongside the rest of your resource usage.

When your credits run out, Cracken refuses the next model-backed step: LLM-backed operations and credit-gated features (such as tabular runs) are blocked until you top up. The UI surfaces this as a "no credits left" state rather than failing silently, so an operation that stops on an empty balance is expected behavior, not an error.

Next steps

  • Realms — one of the resources your plan meters.
  • Tentacles — another metered resource, and the Tentacle host your operations use.
  • Features — the product features your plan unlocks.
