Connect Rapid7 InsightVM

Use this guide to import Rapid7 InsightVM vulnerability data into Cracken.

Prerequisites​

  • InsightVM connected to the Rapid7 Insight Platform
  • Access to Company Settings → API Key Management
  • Permission to create an organization key
  • A Cracken realm where you can configure data integrations

Prepare the credential​

In API Key Management, select Organization Keys, generate a key, and bind it to the organization that contains the vulnerability data you want Cracken to read. A user-level key is not sufficient. Copy the key when it is shown.

Copy the regional Insight Platform API endpoint in the form https://<region>.api.insight.rapid7.com and use it as Base URL.

Connect InsightVM​

  1. Open Integration Center → Data Integrations.
  2. On the Rapid7 InsightVM card, click Install.
  3. Enter the Base URL and organization API Key.
  4. Click Test Connection, then Save & Connect.

Cracken can list InsightVM vulnerabilities and request an on-demand synchronization of the latest results.
