Connect Tenable

Use this guide to import Tenable vulnerability data into Cracken.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Tenable Vulnerability Management
  • Permission to create a user or permission group and generate API keys
  • A Cracken realm where you can configure data integrations

Prepare the user and credentials

Use a dedicated user so the integration is not tied to an employee account. In Settings → Access Control → Permissions, grant:

  • Can View
  • All assets, or the exact asset scope Cracken should read

The generated keys inherit the user's permissions. Make sure the user can view the required vulnerabilities and assets. In Settings → API Keys, generate and record the Access Key and Secret Key. Cracken labels these fields Client Key and Secret Key.

Connect Tenable

  1. Open Integration Center → Data Integrations.
  2. On the Tenable card, click Install.
  3. Enter the Access Key in Client Key and the Secret Key in Secret Key.
  4. Click Test Connection, then Save & Connect.

Cracken can list vulnerabilities and request an on-demand synchronization of the latest results within the user's asset scope.
